Lifestyle, Weight & Sugar Handling
Lifestyle, Weight & Sugar Handling
Our Dallas GA chiropractor knows that it is safe to say that several factors harm people’s health.
- We consume too much processed and sugary food.
- We exercise too little.
- We are deceived by clever advertising.
- We don’t eat enough whole and raw food.
A large part of our problem is what we choose to eat. Heavy consumption of processed foods, unhealthy oils, and large amounts of sugar can be implicated in obesity, diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The aforementioned health conditions are becoming epidemic around the world.
Diabetes In Dallas GA
If you are a Type 1 diabetic that is called diabetes insipidus. You need regular medical supervision. Lifestyle changes alone are not enough, you need drugs and medical care. Type 2 diabetes or diabetes mellitus can be dramatically improved by lifestyle changes, weight loss, and proper eating habits. Some quick-start examples are as follows:
- Eat whole, natural and unprocessed food. Sometimes what has been done to the food through the process is what makes the food bad for you.
- Drink water. If water is your beverage of choice, you will be well hydrated and consume far less sugar. Many commercially sold beverages contain high fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners that may be causing you to gain weight and have blood sugar problems.
- Exercise: Get moving!! Start with an activity that you like: ride a bike, dance, walk, walk your pets, take an exercise class. Exercise is very important to your overall health. Consult your medical provider to make sure you are healthy enough for exercise. Start at a sensible pace. Slowly increase your pace over time. Too much exercise such as lifting too much weight, can be just as bad as too little exercise.
Our office in Dallas, Georgia offers health coaching and assistance in improving your health through weight loss, proper eating habits, and chiropractic care to maintain a healthy body.
